Little readers
Reading is a key function of day-to-day life, and the earlier one comprehends the need, the better off they’ll be. That’s the core belief behind Family Literacy Week, which encourages parents to read to their youngsters, giving them the spark to further develop reading skills. In Winchester, participants at the village’s Ontario Early Years Centre heard firsthand from an accomplished author Mon., Jan. 26. Natasha Grey, who with her mother, Chesterville resident Susan Sullivan, co-authored Everyday Superheroes, shared the story with the audience. The interactive book contains a series of rhymes meant to release the inner hero in everyone.
