Running on fumes
The inaugural North Dundas Cross-Country Invitational Meet has been
deemed a success by North Dundas District Intermediate/High School
coaches/organizers Kathi Poirier and Joe Groeneveld. The registration
for last Friday’s (Oct. 14) competition hit the 280 mark, but with some
withdrawals approximately 240 intermediate (Gr. 7-8) and high school
athletes made the circuit around Winchester’s 100 Club Community Park.
North Dundas Devils Jacob Holmes finished the 6.2 kilometre junior boys
(high school) run in ninth place. His cousin Chase Holmes (not
pictured) placed seventh.
