Kenneth E. Barkley

Kenneth E. Barkley died peacefully at home on Oct. 4, 2002 at the age of 63.He was the beloved husband of Betty (nee Smirle).
He was loving father to Debi (Glendon Shay) and Terry (Christine). He was born on March 9, 1939 in Williamsburg Township.Mr. Barkley was the cherished grandfather of Laura, Sarah, Meghan, Courtney, Kaitlin and Jordan. He is survived by sister Marlene (Donnie Irven).
He was predeceased by brothers Bernice, Basil (Shirley), Clifford (Freida) and Bert (Marie).Friends paid their respects at the Chesterville Funeral Home on Oct. 6.
The service was held in the chapel of the funeral home on Oct. 7 with Rev. Doug Carnegie officiating. Burial followed at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville.The pallbearers were Glen Pemberton, Ken Edgerton, Dale Hutt, Stuart Byers, John Runions and Barry Carscadden.For those wishing, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
