Dwane Beckstead

Dwane Beckstead of Park Drive Villa in Williamsburg died at home on Nov. 7, 2002. He was 75.
He is survived by his wife Jean (nee Wells), whom he married in Morrisburg on Jan. 31, 1946. Their children are Stephen (Julie) of Williamsburg, Carol Tremblay of Morrisburg and Scott (Karen) of Winchester.
Mr. Beckstead was born in Williamsburg Township on Feb. 14, 1927 and was a lifetime resident of the area, spending the last seven years of his life at Park Drive Villa. His parents were the late Gilbert Beckstead and Jenny (nee Shannette).
He worked as a carpenter and a farmer, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.
He was predeceased by son Gary and brother Ray.
He will be fondly remembered by 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There was no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements were entrusted to the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Interment of cremated remains will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Riverside Heights.
