J. Fred Doyle
J. Fred Doyle of Longfield Manor Nursing Home, Ottawa, died at his residence on Fri., July 26, 2002. He was 98.
Mr. Doyle was the beloved husband of the late Georgina Doyle (nee Leblanc), whom he married on Aug. 26, 1940 in Campbellton, New Brunswick. He was the loving father of Connie Doane and Gail Myers, both of St. Augustine, Florida.
He was born on April 11, 1904 in St. George, New Brunswick to the late John and Minnie Doyle (nee Dunbar). Mr. Doyle lived the majority of his life in Moncton, New Brunswick. He was a former commercial traveller with the Maple Leaf Mills Company. After retiring in 1969 he moved to Winchester where he remained until 1999 when he moved to Kanata. He lived in Kanata until May 2002 when he moved to the Longfield Manor.
Mr. Doyle will be sadly missed by grandchildren Cheryl-Lane Bechakas, Stacey Myers and Kelly Myers, and great-grandchildren Loukas Bechakas and Christopher Bechakas. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Grace and brothers Cecil, Harry and Ralph.
Mr. Doyle was an avid fisherman and hunter. Donations to Dundas County Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
There was no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements entrusted to the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg. Interment of cremated remains will be at Memorial Gardens, Moncton, New Brunswick.
