Norma Eastman
Norma Eastman (nee Simzer) of Ottawa
passed away at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on Oct. 7, 2002.
She was 73 years of age.
She was born in Inkerman on Jan. 10, 1929, daughter of the late
Herbert Simzer and Myrtle Locke. She married Valbert John Eastman
and four children were born to this union.
Most recently, she was living at New Orchard Lodge in Ottawa,
and previous to that she spent many years at Hartford Retirement
Home in Morrisburg.
She was the beloved wife of the late Valbert John Eastman. She
was the loving mother of Robert (Patricia) of Scarborough, Keith
(Bonnie) of Kemptville and David (Takiko) of Ottawa; and the cherished
grandmother of Adam, Tom, Matthew, Jessica. Michael, Katie, Jamie
and Alex. She was predeceased by son James.
Visitation for Mrs. Eastman was held at Grant Brown Funeral Home
Rolston Chapel in Kemptville on Wed., Oct. 9. Funeral service
was held in the chapel at the funeral home on Oct. 10, officiated
by Rev. Angela Bailey, with interment following at North Russell
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were sons Robert, David and Keith Eastman; grandson
Matthew Eastman; Andrew Anderson and Logan Shaunghnessy. Memorial
donations to Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus or a charity of choice
would be gratefully appreciated.
