Sue Irven
Sue Irven of Williamsburg died on Fri., May 10, 2002 at the Winchester
District Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was 47.
Ms. Irven was the beloved wife of Steven Casselman and loving
mother of Michael Irven (Corinne Merkley) of Chesterville, Karen
Irven (Jamie Whitteker) of Cardinal and Steven Irven (Kim Feeley)
of Chesterville. Dear grandmother of Kurtis and Kaitlyn.
She was born in Winchester on Oct. 27, 1954 to the late Darcy
and Eleanor St. Pierre (nee Pettit). She was a dear granddaughter
of Lydia Pettit of Avonmore.
She was a dear sister of Valerie (Stan) Bilmer of RR 2 Newington,
Frank (Lynda) St. Pierre of Cornwall, Gail St. Pierre (Ralph Morrice)
of RR 2 Newington, Linda (Rick) Brunet of RR 2 Ingleside, Dianna
(Bill) Pynenburg of Crysler, Darcy St. Pierre of Crysler and Danny
(Andree) St. Pierre of Finch. Also survived by many aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ms. Irven was born and raised in the Finch area and lived there
her entire life. She worked at the Canadian Tire stores in Williamsburg
and then Morrisburg for over 15 years.
She enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing cards. She will be remembered
for her honesty and her great sense of humor. She was a devoted
wife, mother and grandmother, and she will be greatly missed by
her family and many friends.
Donations to Winchester District Memorial Hospital building fund
or the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the
family.
Funeral service was held at Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home,
Williamsburg on Tues., May 14 with Rev. Sandy Macpherson officiating.
Interment of cremated remains was at Finch Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Stan Bilmer, Ralph Morrice, Rick Brunet and Bill
Pynenburg.
