Eva Disheau Jackson
Eva Disheau Jackson of Morrisburg, formerly
of Iroquois, died peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital
on Tues., June 11, 2002 in her 91st year.
She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Disheau (May 27, 1959)
and Ernest Jackson (Dec. 29, 1983). Dear mother of Glendon (Beverly)
Disheau, Verla (Ron) Perrin and Bert, all of Morrisburg, Betty
(Harold) Smith of Massena, N.Y., Wally (Bevery) of Morrisburg,
Warren of Toronto, Wayne (Ann) of Morrisburg, Carol (Frank) Dahl
of Wasa, B.C., Heather (Winston) Baker of Stampville and Louella
Smail of Brinston.
She will be sadly missed by 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren
and five great-great-grandchildren. She was the caring sister
of Mae McEwen of Maxville and sister-in-law Edith Littlejohns
of Prescott. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
brothers Clifford, Gordon and Vernon Littlejohns, and sisters
Edith Kempton, Louella Willard and Vera Lockhart.
Mrs. Disheau Jackson was born on March 5, 1912 in South Crosby
Township, Leeds County to the late Joseph Littlejohns and Elizabeth
Maria Warren.
She enjoyed cardplaying, including euchre and kanasta, and she
taught her grandchildren how to play. Family was the most important
thing to her. She was very close to each and everyone in the family,
and spent time with everyone.
She was very outgoing and friendly, and loved to visit and socialize.
She enjoyed trips to the West in past years to visit her family.
The funeral service was held at the Lakeshore Drive United Church,
Morrisburg on Fri., June 14 with Rev. Jean Udall officiating.
Interment at Iroquois Point United Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted
to Parker Funeral Home, Morrisburg.
Pallbearers were Terry Veinotte, Scott Robinson, Ron Fader, Scott
Corden, Harry Fawcett and Richard Barkley.
