Shirley Johnston

Shirley Jean Johnston of Brockville, formerly of Williamsburg, entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Mon., May 18, 2002. She was 68.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Carman Johnston and the former Hilda McIntosh. Dear mother of Laura Root (Brian) and Tom Hayes. Grandmother of Elisha Castle (Stephen) and Anthony Haggart. Great-grandmother of Luke and Timothy.
She was a dear sister of Fernley Johnston (Marion) and lifelong partner of George Haggart and his family, Linda Brunet (Marcel), James Haggart (Peggy), Carol Forsythe (Steve), Susan McDonald, William Haggart (Gail Vascio), Leslie McDonald (Craig), Janice Haggart, Bruce Haggart (Devona), 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by Ted Haggart, grandson Steven Root and granddaughter Tania Haggart.
At the request of Ms. Johnston, her body was donated to medical science at Queen's University. In memoriams to Hospice of Providence Palliative Care, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
