Johann 'John' Krottner

Johann Krottner passed away with family by his side on Oct. 5, 2002 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 88.
He was dear husband of 62 years to wife Erna. He was cherished father of Heinz (Donna) and daughter Renate Wesley. He was beloved grandfather of Richard and Jason Krottner; and Monty, Andy and Amy Wesley. He was great-grandfather of Tesha and Sahara Krottner.
Mr. Krottner was born on June 5, 1914 in Germany. He came to Canada from Germany in June of 1952. His wife and children followed him in November of the same year. They settled in Toronto where he worked as a fine instrument technician.
He spent many memorable years developing the family cottage in the Muskokas where he enjoyed his family and the surrounding nature. His creative ingenuity was seen in the many "jigs" and "gigs" from his workshop, and his art in many media.
In the later years, he and Erna relocated in Morewood to be closer to family. In the winter months they enjoyed vacationing in Florida.
A private visitation was held at the Winchester Funeral Home on Oct. 8. A funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home and cremation followed.
