Ralph McIntosh
Ralph McIntosh, a lifetime resident of the Williamsburg
area, died on Wed., Aug. 14, 2002 at Winchester District Memorial
Hospital. He was 81.
Mr. McIntosh was a retired dairy farmer. He was raised on a farm
west of Winchester Springs and attended school at SS #18. On May
15, 1943 he married a wonderful bride named Phyllis McMillan.
In his early years, Mr. McIntosh played baseball and hockey. He
was a dedicated member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Williamsburg
where he served for many years on church council and enjoyed singing
in the choir.
His concern for the community was evident in his role as a board
member of Winchester District Memorial Hospital for several years
and his membership in the Williamsburg Oddfellows Lodge #349 for
over 60 years. He was always positive and enjoyed the good things
in life. He loved farming and he enjoyed travelling with friends,
whether it was by car, coach or boat. He will be remembered for
his wonderful sense of humor, his pleasant disposition and his
generous nature.
He was born on Dec. 15, 1920 in Winchester Springs to the late
Heber McIntosh and Eva Beckstead. He was the beloved husband of
the late Phyllis McMillan.
Mr. McIntosh was the loving father of David (Susan) of Morrisburg,
Brian (Flora) of Winchester Springs and Esther (Keith) Barkley
of Williamsburg. He will be fondly remembered by grandchildren
Kimberly (Adam) Macdonald, Lesley (Darcy) Provost, Dan (Tammy)
McIntosh, Hannah Barkley, Jeremy McIntosh, Samantha McIntosh,
and great-grandchildren Alexander, Andrew, Erica, Rachel and Ryan.
He is also survived by brother Don (Dorothy) of Bridgetown, Nova
Scotia. Predeceased by brothers Lee and Glenn. Also survived by
nieces and nephews.
He was a dear friend of Gladys Kyle of Williamsburg.

Peter's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
An Oddfellows service was held on Fri., Aug. 16. Funeral service
was held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Williamsburg on Sat.,
Aug. 17 with Rev. Mark Ehlebracht officiating. Interment of cremated
remains will be at New Union Cemetery, Williamsburg.
Pallbearers were Lesley Provost, Darcy Provost, Dan McIntosh,
Hannah Barkley, Samantha McIntosh and Adam Macdonald.
