Hilton Jamieson McLean

Hilton Jamieson McLean died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, on Thurs., June 27, 2002 in his 79th year.
He was born on May 12, 1924 to the late Garnet and Ida (Minnie) McLean (nee Jamieson). He was the beloved husband of the late Roma Jean (Fawcett). Loving father of Beverly Barkley (Robert), Linda Helmer (Donald) and Joanne McMahon (Brian).
He is survived by brother Hubert (Marjorie) and sisters Maralene Meldrum (Roy) and Doreen Kirkwood (late John). Dearly missed by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by niece Laura Lee Lalonde (Leo). Predeceased by sister Donelda Freeland (husband Harry).
Mr. McLean was born and raised in Chesterville and lived there until 1998 when he moved to Maple Ridge Road, Winchester Township.
He worked at Nestle Canada for many years. He spent many weekends at his trailer in Smiths Falls where he loved to fish.
At Mr. McLean's request, a graveside service was held at the Maple Ridge Cemetery on Sat., June 29. Rev. Bert de Bruijn officiated. Arrangements entrusted to the Chesterville Funeral Home.
