Paul Monast
Paul Monast died peacefully on Mon., July 15, 2002 at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, in his 83rd year.
He was the beloved husband of Lucille (nee Longtin). Loving father of Muriel (Carl Smith), Fern (Don Ursu) and Peter (Patricia).
He was the cherished grandfather of Lynn (Todd Kirkwood), Mark and Craig Smith, Monique (Garen Carr) and Annette (Steve McWhinnie). Great-grandfather of Tanya, Jill, Mitchell, Jordon, Ryan, Chase and Bayden. Survived by sisters Noelie Lanois and Madeleine Campeau, and brother Gerald (Denise) and sisters-in-law Aline Gagné and Lucienne Longtin.
A funeral service was held on Thurs., July 18 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Chesterville, with Father Stan Alanen officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Jack Lannin, Shawn Chambers, Mark Smith, Craig Smith, Garen Carr and Steve McWhinnie. Honorary pallbearers were Gerald McMillan, Lorne Jordan and Len Moran.
Donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital and the Cancer Canadian Society would be appreciated by the family.
