Vera Alida B. Moorhouse

Vera Alida Blanche Moorhouse died peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Dec. 11, 2002 in her 89th year.
She was born in Wolford Township on July 9, 1914. She was wife of Arthur Moorhouse for 68 loving years. Mrs. Moorhouse was dear mother of Donald (Helen) of Spencerville, Muriel Milne (Oscar) of Mountain and Allan (Mary Ellen) of Prescott.
She is survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brother Harold Baker (Phyllis) of Saskatoon, sister Fern Bryan (Carl) of Mountain and sister-in-law Lillian Baker of Brockville. She was predeceased by brothers Mervin and Arden Baker and sister Elsie Pelton.
Vera was a life member of the United Church Women (UCW) of Winchester, a faithful member of the Winchester United Church and a member of the Golden Years Society of Winchester.
The family received friends at Winchester Funeral Home on Dec. 13. The funeral service was held at the Winchester United Church on Dec. 14, followed by interment at the South Gower Cemetery.
