Emmet Norton
Emmet Norton of Morrisburg died on Nov. 14,
2002 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 68.
He was husband of the late Bea Norton (nee Lawlor), whom he married
in Aultsville on Feb. 24, 1962. A lifetime resident of the area,
he worked as a machine operator and lead hand at Beavers Dental
for over 37 years before retiring in 1999.
He was born on June 11, 1934 to the late William Norton and Eileen
(nee Reddick). He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church
and Knights of Columbus Council #6882.
Mr. Norton is survived by children Leeann Norton of Cornwall and
Vicki (Paul) Sargeant of Prescott. Also surviving are brothers
and sisters Elsie (Bill) Knight of Iroquois, Raymond (Christine)
of Morrisburg and Harry (Lorraine) of Iroquois.
He will be sadly missed by grandsons Joey and Jamie Sargeant.
He will be fondly remembered by the entire Norton and Lawlor families.
He enjoyed travelling and camping with Bea. He was an animal lover
and he enjoyed long walks with the family pets Snoopy and Benji.
Friends called at Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg
on Nov. 17. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary's
Roman Catholic Church in Morrisburg on Nov. 18 with Father Arikat
officiating. Interment of cremated remains will be at St. Mary's
Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chuck Lawlor, Paul Sargeant, Doug Hodgson, Bill
Lawlor, Garnet Lawlor and Bill Knight.
Donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, the Diabetes
Society or CHEO would be appreciated by the family.
