Howard Smith
Retired OPP senior constable Howard Smith died after a courageous battle with cancer on Sun., Sept. 15, 2002 in his 58th year.
He was the best friend and husband of Isobel (nee Prentice). Loving father of Andrew (Lynne), Craig (Donna) and Janet (Robert). Papa of cherished grandsons (the boys) Graeme, Malcolm, Cody, Tavish, Cameron, Graydon and Jameson. Survived by sisters Doris Sproule (Stanley), Beverley Carkner (Gerald) and Lynn McGowan (Neil). Predeceased by brother Clarence.
Mr. Smith and his wife Isobel were co-owners of the Heritage Restaurant in Chesterville.
Resting at the Chesterville Funeral Home where family will receive friends on Wed., Sept. 18, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thurs., Sept. 19 at 1 pm in the chapel. Interment of cremated remains at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Smith to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Andrews Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
