Beatrice Sarah Thomas
Beatrice Sarah Thomas, a resident
of the Township of Osgoode Care Centre, died on Tues., Sept. 10,
2002 at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital. She was 90.
She was the beloved wife of the late James A. Thomas (1977), whom
she married in Williamsburg on June 18, 1930. She was born in
Winchester on Sept. 5, 1912 to the late Ancil Thompson and Annie
Mae Ault.
Mrs. Thomas was the dear mother of Gorden of White Lake, Margaret
Clarmo of Edards, Muriel (Glen Froats), Elburn (Marilyn), all
of Ottawa, David (Linda) of Metcalfe, Ronald (Joanne) of Los Angeles,
Audrey (Ivan Wallace) of Greely, Sandra (Denzil Reaney) of South
Gloucester, Doug (Hilda), Barbara (Jo Racine), all of Greely,
Beverly (Debbie) of Kenmore, Bonnie (Brian Evans) of Calgary and
the late Orville and Ellen.
She was loved by 38 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and
four great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Dorothy McQuaig,
Olive Slack, Alice Turpin and the late William Everett, Charles,
Donald Olin and Arnold Thompson.
Mrs. Thomas previously lived in the Stanley Apartments in Metcalfe
for five years, and before that she lived for 63 years on the
farm in Golden Valley. She was a member of the Osgoode Baptist
Church.
Funeral service was held at the Vernon Baptist Church on Sat.,
Sept. 14 with Rev. George Cawfield officiating. Interment at Springhill
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steven Clarmo, Kevin Froats, Jim Thomas, Jeff
Thomas, Shane Racine, Scott Thomas and Todd Wallace.
