Stanley John Edgar Van Allen
Stanley John Edgar Van Allen died peacefully at Carlingview Manor, Ottawa, on Mon., July 8, 2002. He was 74.
Mr. Van Allen was the loving father of Douglas of Alberta, Christine of Sarnia, Debbie Toohey of Ottawa, David of Alberta, Patricia Holmes of Kingston and Gloria of Ottawa. He will be sadly missed by many grandchildren. Survived by dear brother Larry of Alberta.
Mr. Van Allen was born in Cornwall on Aug. 11, 1928 to the late John Edgar Van Allen and Dorothy Miller. He worked as a laborer and also in maintenance at Black and Decker in Brockville. He had lived at Carlingview Manor for 20 years.
Friends were received at the Parker Funeral Home in Morrisburg on July 12, where the funeral was held, with Rev. Darren May officiating. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Mariatown. Memorial donations to the Lung Association gratefully acknowledged.
