Eleanor Walter
Eleanor Walter of Wellington House Nursing
Home, Prescott, died at her residence on Tues., Aug. 20, 2002
after a lengthy illness. She was 81.
Mrs. Walker was the beloved wife of Orval Walter (1995) and the
loving mother of Wenston (Sharron) of Hamilton, Pat (Marlene)
of Spencerville and Delaine (Thom) Greenough of South Mountain.
She will be fondly remembered by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was born on June 7, 1921 in Brockville to the late Samuel
and Ida Pyke (nee Flannigan). She was predeceased by two children,
Arnold and Sylvia, and two grandsons, Martin and Carrie.
Mrs. Walker was a lifetime resident of the Prescott area. She
was a member of the Philadelphia Pentecostal Tabernacle, Cardinal.
She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #105, Cardinal.
She loved to play cards, especially euchre.
Donations to Wellington House Palliative Care would be appreciated
by the family.
Funeral service was held on Fri., Aug. 23 with Rev. Jack Urquhart
officiating. Interment at St. Paul's Cemetery, Cardinal.
Pallbearers were Luther Walter, Tim Walter, Don Towsley, Tom Beatson,
Jack Gilligan and Thom Greenough.
