Desmond John Wheeler
Desmond John Wheeler died peacefully at the Dundas Manor, Winchester
on Wed., May 1, 2002 in his 78th year.
He was the beloved husband of Betty Wheeler (nee Elliott) of Chesterville.
Loving father of Leonard, Ronald (Penny), Martin, Kevin (Marjorie),
Donald (Martha), Creig (April), Gordon (Sylvia), Marilyn Miller
(Russell) and Vicki McNalty (Jamie). Dearest grandfather of Ivan
(Kara), Amanda, Nickolas, Tiffany, Ryan, Ashley, Cassondra, Brooklynn,
Jordan, Steven, Blake, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Jordan and Jole. Great-grandfather
of Cierra and Samantha.
Brother of Manley Wheeler (Catherine), Irene Gaudrey (George),
Donelda Edgerton (Stewart), Florence Parks (George) and Aurea
Chambers (Terry). Nephew of Agnes Manley. Survived by several
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Edward and Annie, brothers
Dwaine, Gerald, Raymond and sister Joan Lenahan (Desmond).
Mr. Wheeler was the owner of Wheeler's Trucking and Cartage and
a former employee of Nestlé.
Funeral service was held on Sat., May 4 at St. Mary's Catholic
Church, Chesterville, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Dundas
Manor would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to
the Chesterville Funeral Home.
