Fern Evelyn Aileen Bryan
Fern Evelyn Aileen Bryan of Mountain died at Ottawa General Hospital, after a two-and-a-half-month illness, on April 2, 2003. She was 80.
She is survived by her husband Carl Bryan, whom she married in Eastons Corners on May 4, 1946. A resident of Mountain for 57 years, she was a dedicated family woman and farming partner. She was a lifelong member of the United Church Women and a loyal church member.
She was born in Wolford Township on May 15, 1922 to the late Milburn Baker and Evelyn (nee Baldwin).
Surviving brother is Harold (Phyllis). She was predeceased by siblings Mervin, Arden, Vera and Elsie. She is survived by children David (Carol), Dwight (Mary), Doug (Brenda) and Debra Simpson.
She is survived by grandchildren Carrie (Steven Johnston), Christie (James Woodall), Connie, Scott, Darren, Andrea (Rob Bruyere), Kevin, Melissa and Shannon. Great grandsons are Jack Johnstone and Dakota Bruyere.
The funeral was held at the Hallville United Church on Saturday, April 5, officiated by Rev. Blair Paterson. Interment was at South Gower Cemetery. The pallbearers were grandchildren Scott, Connie, Darren, Shannon, Kevin and Melissa.
