Annie Margaret Francis
Annie Margaret Francis died at Dundas Manor in Winchester on Jan. 19, 2003. She was 84.
She was predeceased by husband Avery Francis, who died on Oct. 26, 1990. They were married in Ottawa on Feb. 20, 1937.
She was born in Van Camp in the former Mountain Township. She lived in South Mountain, as a housewife and farm wife. Her parents were the late George Walter and Abbie Levere. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Inkerman.
Surviving are children Phyllis Vandemheen (Bill), George (Bea), Barbara Byers (Wayne) and Ken (Dora). She is remembered by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was sister of Mae Walter, Edna Patterson, Carrie Guy and the late Robert and Ellen.
The funeral was held at Byers Funeral Home on Jan. 21, officiated by Rev. Anita Goulet. Interment will be in the spring at Knight's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brian Vandemheen, Tracey St. Pierre, Michael Francis and Kathy Gourgon.
