Ethel Wilma Fraser
Ethel Wilma Fraser of Chesterville passed away peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Nov. 1, 2003. She was 76.
She was the loving wife of the late John "Jack" Fraser. She was the beloved mother of Tony (Amy) of Winchester and Diane Fraser (Hidecki) of Japan. She was dear grandmother of Emma Fraser.
She is survived by sisters Magdeline Heiszek, Rose Murchie, Olga Knoepfli and Clara Kozuh. She was predeceased by brothers Joseph and Carman Smith.
She was born on March 20, 1927 in Scotland, Ontario, to the late Joseph and Rose (nee Voros) Smith.
The visitation was held at the Chesterville Funeral Home where the family received friends on Nov. 3. The funeral service was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chesterville on Nov. 4. A burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Winchester District Memorial Hospital in memory of Ethel would be appreciated by the family.
