Shawn Robert Allan Haystead
Shawn Robert Allan Haystead died
suddenly, as the result of an accident at home on June 29, 2003.
He was 19.
He was the beloved son of Stella (nee Robinson) and Arnold Haystead
of Ingleside. He will be sadly missed by foster parents Lynda
and Peter Jack of Maxville. He was born in Winchester on Feb.
16, 1984.
He had recently graduated from Tagwi Secondary School, where he
had just received the Steve Thompson Award. The award was presented
by Thompson's parents in memory of their son who had been killed.
The award was presented to a graduate who, during their years
at Tagwi, had demonstrated determination, dedication and a positive
outlook, both in and out of school, representing a true Tagwi
ambassador. He also received the Glen Fine Foods Award to assist
in furthering his studies at the post-secondary level.
He was loving grandson of Leila Robinson of Winchester. He was
dear brother of Priscilla of Long Sault, Robin (Brenda) of Brockville,
and Kevin (Melody) of Kemptville. He will also be remembered by
nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the Parker Funeral Home in Morrisburg
on July 2 and 3. The funeral was held at Williamsburg United Church
on July 4 with Rev. Sandy MacPherson officiating. Interment was
at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
Pallbearers were Herb Auer, Ron Holla, Chris Woods, Peter-Andrew
Jack, Robin Haystead and Kevin Haystead.
