Gerald Holmes
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very special husband, father and grandfather, Gerald Holmes, in his 86th year. Jerry passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2003, at Winchester District Memorial Hospital lovingly surrounded by his family.
Always loved and remembered by his wife of 60 years, Doris; his children Beverly Barkley (Allen), Bonnie DeVries (Ron), Dorothy Geymonat (Jack), and predeceased by daughter Trudy; his grandchildren Lisa, Diane, Stephanie, Melanie, Tasha, Jennifer, Joshua, David, Kevin and Geoffrey; and six great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Keith and Murray; and sisters Mary, Marguerite and Murla.
Visitation was held at Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain on March 31. The funeral was held in the Winchester Wesleyan Church on April 1 at 2 pm. Interment was at Maple Ridge Cemetery.
