Angus James McEvoy
Angus James McEvoy, formerly of South Mountain, died at Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Jan. 16, 2003. He was 87.
He is survived by wife Christina (nee Arcand), whom he married in Ottawa on April 23, 1946. He lived in Alexandria for the previous seven years.
He was born in the former Osgoode Township on Nov. 1, 1915 to the late John McEvoy and Rose (nee O'Rourke). He worked as a paving roller operator. He was a member of St. Daniel's Roman Catholic Church.
Mr. McEvoy is survived by children Leonard and Shirley McEvoy of South Mountain. He was brother of Dollie McGuire of Ottawa, Georgina Agnew of Cobden, and Marjorie O'Sullivan of Ottawa. He was predeceased by Frank, Ethel, Martin, Archie and Ida.
The funeral was held at St. Daniel's Roman Catholic Church on Jan. 18, officiated by Father Augustine. Interment will be in the spring at St. John's Cemetery in Enniskerry.
Pallbearers were John Havekes, John Havekes Jr., Bill Koekkoek, Martin Bongers, Martin Hall and Vince Morrow.
