Brent McIntosh
Brent McIntosh of Ottawa died on
March 6, 2003 at the age of 53.
He was born in Winchester on Dec. 16, 1949 to Bert McIntosh and
Norma (nee Casselman), both of whom are surviving. He lived the
majority of his life in the Williamsburg area.
He is survived by children Marissa Locke-McIntosh of Iroquois,
Wendy Locke-McIntosh of London, and Jason Locke-McIntosh of Ottawa.
Also surviving are siblings Currie (Donna) McIntosh of Williamsburg,
Shelley McIntosh of Williamsburg and Julie (Ian) Davy of Cobourg.
He was predeceased by uncle Raymond "Buck" McIntosh
and aunt Sally McIntosh.
He worked as a chemist at CIP in Gatineau, and then as a researcher
at the University of Ottawa. In recent years he worked as a finish
carpenter.
Mr. McIntosh was an avid sportsman who enjoyed playing golf, baseball,
hockey and broomball. He will be remembered for the love he had
for his family and three children. He is also survived by several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg
on March 11. The funeral took place at Williamsburg United Church
on March 12, officiated by Rev. Sandy Macpherson. Spring interment
of cremated remains will be at Spruce Haven Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jason Locke-McIntosh, Currie McIntosh, Michael
Weegar, Cobie McIntosh, Calvin McIntosh and Kari McIntosh. Honorary
pallbearers were Mahlon Locke, Philip Froats, Dale Casselman and
Shaler Hill.
Donations to Winchester District Memorial Hospital or Williamsburg
United Church would be appreciated by the family.
