Charlie J. Patterson
Charlie J. Patterson of Winchester
died at home on Sept. 16, 2003. He was 84.
He is survived by wife Lillis Docksteader, whom he married at
Harmony Church in Harmony on May 3, 1947.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1918 in Admaston Township in Renfrew County.
His parents were the late Robert Patterson and Mae (nee Virgin).
He was a self-employed sheet-metal worker, operating C.J. Patterson
and Son. He was a member of the Inkerman Wesleyan Church.
He will be remembered by children Donna Jean (Murray) MacDonald
of Renfrew, Keith (Bernice) of St. Marys, and Mervin (Brenda)
of Winchester. He is survived by grandchildren April and Judy
MacDonald; Amy, Mark and Joy Patterson; Jonathan Patterson; Jason
(Sarah), Amanda and Cory Couturier; Danton and Madison Couturier.
He was brother of Doug (Greta) of Cobden, Rev. Dwight (Lorraine)
of Elliot Lake, and the late Dr. Leslie Patterson (Jane) of Cobourg.
He was brother-in-law of Carl (Joy), Glenn (Grace) Docksteader
and Audrey (Keith) Last.
The funeral was held at the Byers Funeral Home chapel in South
Mountain on Sept. 19, with pastor Anita Goulet officiating. Interment
was at Maple Ridge Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Jim Patterson, Rick Patterson, Randy Docksteader,
Daryl Last, Dwayne Cinnamon and Terry Barkley.
