Lillian Pearl Smith
Lillian Pearl Smith (nee Marshall) died peacefully at St. Catharines Extendicare on Dec. 17, 2003. She was 102.
She was the beloved wife of the late Donald McConkey Smith. She was dear mother of Allan (Mary), and Edward (Stephanie). She was loving grandmother of Simon (Alison), Kerry (Judy), Alissa (Steve), Christopher and Andrew. She was great-grandmother of Michael, Declan, Kendall, Avery, Griffin, Joel and Liam.
She was predeceased by brother Albert and sister Susanna. She will also be remembered by her great-nieces and great-nephews, especially Earl and Shirley.
Friends were received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home in Stoney Creek on Dec. 18 and 19. A funeral service was held at St. James the Apostle Anglican Church on Dec. 19. An additional service was held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Bearbrook on Dec. 20. Interment was at Bearbrook Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to thank the exceptional staff of Extendicare, the Red Cross and the VON.
