Evelyn Jean Volks
Evelyn Jean Volks died peacefully at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital in Brockville on March 5, 2003. She was 76.
She was the beloved wife of Clifford Volks of Brockville. She was loving mother of Robert (Janet) Volks of Winchester, and Cheryl (Bob) Mussell of Brockville.
She will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Kristopher and Chelsea Mussell; Derik Gates; and Sara and Tyson Volks. She is survived by her sisters Maxine (Peg) Baldwin, June Hoy (Sherman) and Joan Ponting. She is also survived by sister-in-law Evelyn Bell; brother-in-law Roland Peacock; and by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Volks was predeceased by her parents, Jessie and Leonard Bell. She was also predeceased by brothers Ralph Bell, George (Sam) Bell, Lester Bell, Orland (Steve) Bell, and by sister Clara (Betty) Baker.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation took place at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium in Maitland. A private service of committal was held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In celebration of her life, a ceremony was held at Wall Street United Church on March 11. In remembrance, donations to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements were entrusted to Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel in Brockville.
