Wyman George Barton
Wyman George Barton died suddenly at home on April 14, 2003, at the age of 61.
He was the best friend and loving husband of Nancy. He was dear father of Andrew and Derek and step-father of Jennifer and Krista Mallon. He will be sadly missed by Lorna, mother of Andrew and Derek.
He was predeceased by father George (Doddy) He leaves behind his mother Alice, sister Judy Kirby (Robbie), and brothers Sydney (Peggy), Beverly (Sharon), Doug (Debbie) and Kevin (Sharon). He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, as well as one nephew and one great nephew.
Mr. Barton touched the lives of many people in the community, first as a teacher and principal, than as past deputy-reeve of Winchester Township. He was a past chair of the SD&G Police Services Board, and served in many other capacities to better the community.
The family will receive friends on Wed., April 16 at the Chesterville Funeral Home, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Chesterville on Thurs., April 17 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
