Ivy M. Arbuthnot (nee Capnerhurst)
Ivy M. Arbuthnot passed away peacefully
at the Dundas Manor in Winchester on Oct. 20, 2004. She was 93.
She was the beloved wife of the late Russell Arbuthnot for 59
years. She was the dear mother of Eileen Arbuthnot of Winchester.
She was predeceased by Shirley Rennick and Phyllis Arbuthnot;
grandson Brian; sister Olive (the late Brian White) and brothers
George (the late Thyra), Harvey (the late Marge), and Stan (the
late Gerry). She is survived by grandchildren Barry Rennick and
Bonnie Rennick, great-grandchildren Kyle, Cory, Darren and Silka
and great-great-granddaughter Amy. She is also survived by son-in-law
Bobby Rennick and by brothers Ralph (Ev) Capnerhurst, and Norm
Capnerhurst. She will be sadly missed by nieces Phyllis (Ken Gethke)
and Joan (Dr. Dick Shipman), as well as numerous nieces, nephews,
neighbors and friends.
The visitation was held at the Winchester Funeral Home on Oct.
22, 2004. The funeral service took place in the Chapel at the
funeral home on Oct. 23 with Rev. Duncan Kennedy officiating.
The burial followed in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville with
Rev. Bruce North officiating.
The pallbearers were Gord Cowell, Ed Rose, Ron Lewis and Lorn
Renwick. For those wishing, donations to the Activity Department
of the Dundas Manor or to a charity of choice would be gratefully
acknowledged by the family.
