Joyce Armstrong (nee Hay)
Joyce Armstrong passed away suddenly at home in Chesterville on Oct. 20, 2004. She was 72.
She was predeceased by her husband Harold. She was the loving mother of George and Sharon (Joseph Arbic). She was the cherished grandmother of Dianna, Kayla, and Matthew. She is survived by brother John (Carol) Hay, and sister Isabel (Fraser MacDonald).
She was born on Jan. 26, 1932 in Winchester to the late Colin Hay and the late Christina Hay (nee MacIntosh).
Visitation was held at the Chesterville Funeral Home on Oct. 24. The service took place on Oct. 25 at the Trinity United Church in Chesterville with Rev. Mary-Lou Shortill officiating. Burial followed at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
The pallbearers were Daryl Hay, Dwayne Hay, Bill Bond, Steve Cochrane, Rick Curran and Raymond Arbic.
For those wishing, donations to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
