Alice Casselman
Alice Casselman of Chesterville died on May 18,
2004 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. She was 82.
She is survived by husband Hubert Casselman, whom she married
on Sept. 3, 1941 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.
She was born to the late Arthur Whitteker and Martha (nee Barkley)
on Aug. 4, 1921 in the former Matilda Township.
She is survived by children Irene Casselman (Mike Else) of Winchester,
Earl (Claudette) Casselman of Winchester, Judy (Wayne) Rowe of
Stittsville, Linda (Mitchell) Rodier of Orleans, Barbara (Joe)
Pasqua of Kanata, and Brenda Casselman of Blossom Park.
She is survived by brothers Paul (Dorothy) Whitteker of Williamsburg
and Garnet (Yvonne) Whitteker of Paris. She was predeceased by
sister Ada Hanson and brothers Lloyd and Ross Whitteker.
She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She will be fondly
remembered by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was lifetime resident of the North Dundas area, having lived
at her last address for 31 years. She was a member of the North
Dundas Seniors Group. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and gardening.
Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg
on May 19. The funeral was on May 20 with Rev. Mark Ehlebracht
officiating. Interment was at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
Pallbearers were Rodney Casselman, Rhonda Casselman, Rachel Casselman,
Michael Casselman, Tracy Pratte, Matthew Rodier and Amanda Rodier.
