Walter Gerald Empey
Walter Gerald Empey, formerly of Belleville, entered into rest at Picton Manor on June 2, 2004. He was 84.
He was the son of the late Clinton and Jessie Empey. He was beloved husband of 58 years to Laura Margaret Empey (nee Sheldrick).
He was dear father of Shirley (Wayne) Pulfer of Iroquois; Heather Lalonde of Moose Creek; Michael (Faye) Empey of Belleville; Kathy Kutryk (Barry) of Beauvalon, Alberta; Roy (Bunny) Empey of Frankford; Kevin (Julie) Empey of Belleville; Joanne Morrison of Edmonton, Alberta; and Rosemary Empey of Belleville. He was predeceased by son Rickard Empey.
He will be lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers Cecil and Everett Empey and sisters Dena Rycroft and Audrey Lalonde.
Friends called at the Belleville Funeral Home on June 4. The service was held in the funeral home chapel on June 5 with Rev. Ken Lewis officiating. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
