Douglas Keith Freeland
Douglas Keith Freeland of Winchester passed away at his home on Aug. 19, 2004. He was 86.
He was predeceased by his wife Helen "Babe" (nee Hutt) whom he married in Chesterville on July 8, 1943. He is survived by children Anne, Christine, Allan, Laurie and Ron. He will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Jeremy, Tim, Tracy, Leslie and Mike and one great-granddaughter Abby. He is also survived by brothers Earl, Carl and Harry, and nephew Danny Kelly.
He was born in Cobden on May 12, 1918, to the late Robert Allen Freeland and Annie Florence Gilmour. He was self employed in the fuel business, was a bee keeper and owned an egg grading station.
The funeral was held at Byers Funeral Home on Aug. 21 with Pastor Thurland Brown officiating. Cremation followed.
