Irena Kelso
Irena Kelso (nee Allen) of Dundas Manor in Winchester passed away on July 17, 2004, at the Dundas Manor. She was 100. She was formerly of Hallville.
She was predeceased by her husband James Kelso in 1966 whom she married on Dec. 13, 1923. She was predeceased by her daughters Winnifred (and the late Trevor) Thompson and Jean Erwin (Don).
She is survived by grandchildren Laurie Thompson (Kim), Joel Thompson (Suzanne), Gregory Erwin (Heather), Linda Laverie (Andy), and Larry Erwin (Kim). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1904 in Osgoode to the late William John Allen and Sarah Etta Stewart. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hallville United Church.
The funeral was held at Byers Funeral Home, South Mountain on July 19, with Rev. Blair Paterson officiating. Interment was at South Gower Cemetery. Pallbearers were Laurie, Joel and Darcy Thompson; and Gregory, Larry and Ryan Erwin.
