Helen E. Kirkwood
Helen E. Kirkwood of Winchester Springs entered into rest at the Dundas Manor in Winchester on Feb. 19, 2004. She was 81.
She was born on June 23, 1922 in Cardinal. She was the daughter of the late J. Leo Brennan and Elizabeth (nee Tyner). She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Kirkwood.
She was dear mother of Stephen (Barb) of North Augusta, Gregory (Shirley) of Ottawa, and Peter of Winchester Springs.
She was dear sister of Elizabeth (Don) Barton of Prescott. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Dawn (Ingo) Rutenburg of Prescott, Derek (Celine) Kirkwood of Orleans, Philip (Kate) Kirkwood of Chesterville, and David Kirkwood of Ottawa; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brother Walter Brennan, and sister Lois (Bob) Grey, both of Cardinal.
Friends called at the Winchester Funeral Home on Feb. 22. The funeral service was held in the chapel of the funeral home on Feb. 23. Interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery.
