Bill Langabeer
Bill Langabeer of Winchester passed
away suddenly on Dec. 28, 2004 at Winchester District Memorial
Hospital. He was 64.
He is survived by wife Ann (nee Crawford) whom he married on June
20, 1964 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Chesterville.
He is survived by brothers and sisters Carman (Ruth) of Finch,
Angus (Carolyn) of Belleville, Edward, and Barbara Smith of Winchester.
He was predeceased by a brother Jim. He is also survived by nieces
and nephews.
He was born on June 14, 1940 in Belleville to the late Walter
and Ruth (nee Reddick) Langabeer. He was a lifetime resident of
the area and lived in Winchester for the last 14 years. He worked
as an orderly at Winchester District Memorial Hospital for 33
years. He was a dedicated member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church where he served as an elder and was a member of the choir
for many years.
He enjoyed sewing, upholstering and gardening. He was a very talented
tailor and he made many nice pieces of clothing during his lifetime.
He was a man of precision and his attention to detail was evident
in all of his daily activities. He was a regular participant in
Sunshine Circle at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital.
Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg
on Dec. 30. The funeral was held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church in Chesterville on Dec. 31 with Rev. Bert deBruijn officiating.
Interment followed at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville. Pallbearers
were Sam Hummel, Rob Erath, Bassam Alsabeh, Charles Hummel, John
Langabeer and Joe Baker.
Donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church would be appreciated
by the family.
