Russell Morrow
Russell Morrow of Morrisburg passed away at Winchester
District Memorial Hospital on May 6, 2004 after a lengthy illness.
He was 68 years old.
He is survived by his wife Doreen (nee Kenney), whom he married
at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Manse on March 4, 1955; and sons
Rick, of Vernon, and David (Johanne) of Guelph. He will also be
fondly remembered by grandchildren Caroline, Katherine, Jessica,
and Liam. He was brother-in-law of Jean (Lloyd) Greenough of South
Mountain, Barbara Fortin of Ottawa, Gail (Doug) Casselman of Williamsburg,
and Bob (Barbara) Kenney of Amherstview. He is also survived by
nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Steven.
A lifetime resident of the Williamsburg area, Morrow was born
to Jean (nee Casselman) and John Morrow on April 19, 1936. He
spent 38 years working on the forestry crew with Ontario Hydro.
In his earlier years, he was an avid fisherman and hunter and
was a member of the Kenmore Hunt Club. He was also involved with
local hockey and baseball teams in the Williamsburg area as both
a coach and loyal supporter. He was a former member of the Williamsburg
Fire Department.
Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg
on May 7. The funeral was a private family graveside service,
with Rev. Doug Carnegie officiating. Interment was at Maple Ridge
Cemetery. The pallbearers were Doug Casselman, Barry Casselman,
Rob Casselman, Bob Kenney, Lloyd Greenough, and Peter McIntosh.
Donations to Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated
by the family.
