Lauretta Martha Scharf
Lauretta Martha Scharf of South
Mountain passed away at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre on
Dec. 11, 2004. She was 80.
She was predeceased in 1985 by her husband Louis Wilkins whom
she married in Ottawa. She was born on July 17, 1924 in Edwards
to the late Thomas Scharf and Martha Preston.
She is survived by long-time companion Vern Millington. She is
survived by children Mary, Garnet (Brenda) and Gloria (Michael);grandchildren
Krista, Kirk and Kyle; and by great-grandchildren Phillip, Sophia
and Nicholas. She was the sister of Sarah, Tom (Carol) and Herb
(Elaine). She was the sister-in-law of Eileen Scharf, Donat Tremblay,
Ida Wallace and Jean Anderson (Gerry) and was predeceased by Ethel,
Frank, Norman, Dougal and Elisha.
Formerly of Ottawa, she worked in criminal records for the RCMP
and the government. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Byers Funeral
Home in South Mountain on Dec. 15 at 10 am with Rev. Carol Bain
officiating.
Interment will follow at South Gower Cemetery. Pallbearers are
David, Kevin and Randy Scharf; Leonard Tremblay; and Melvin and
Bruce Scharf.
