Alice Bessie St. Pierre
Alice Bessie St. Pierre (nee Fawcett) died peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on June 17, 2004, the day of her 64th wedding anniversary. She was 82.
She was the dear wife of the late Albert St. Pierre, whom she married on June 17, 1940. She was the cherished mother of Shirley (Ray) Perras, Maurice (Nicole), the late Gordon (Judy), the late Rhéal (Pat), Suzanne (Donald) Lamadeleine, Donald (Lorraine), the late Yvonne, Gerry (Gayle), David, Judy (Guy) Marion, Darlene (Marcel) Roy, Larry (Candice), and Michel (Jeannette). She will be sadly missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by parents Hiram and Pina Fawcett, and oldest grandson Scott. She was dear sister to the late Gordon, Doreen (Lyle Ouderkirk), Wilma (Rolland) DuSablons, Wallace (Marie), Isabelle (Piet) Kerkhof, the late Art (Mary), Jacqueline and Helen.
She was a strong and hardworking person, going to the barn and also keeping house. She always placed others ahead of herself and welcomed one and all into her home. She loved nothing more than to sit and have tea.
Arrangements were entrusted to Winchester Funeral Home, where family received friends on June 20. A mass of Christian burial was held at St. Therese D'avilia Roman Catholic Church in Marionville on June 21. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
