Harold Stewart
Harold Stewart passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Oct. 17, 2004. He was 88.
He was the beloved husband of Viola (nee Presley) for 63 years. He was the cherished father of Nadene (the late Reg Harper). He will be sadly missed by grandchildren Derek (Julie) Harper, and Darlene (Aron Sherrer), and by great-grandchildren Tyson, Taylor and Cam. He is survived by sister Gladys (the late Mervin Peever) and brother Ken (Betty) Stewart. He will be missed by sisters-in-law Lois (Howard Bailey) and Edith (the late Lloyd Cameron) and brother-in-law Ron (Evelyn) Presley. He was the dear friend of Freeda Harper.
He was born on April 20, 1916, in Morewood to the late Robert and the late Levina (nee Hoople) Stewart.
A private family memorial service was held at the Winchester Funeral Home on Oct. 21. An inurnment followed at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville. For those wishing, donations to either the Winchester District Memorial Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
