Jean Ball
Jean Ball (nee Cross) passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on March 15, 2005. She was 99.
She was predeceased by husband Sherman in 1978 and by son Eric (Jessie) in 2004. She was the dear mother of Lois (the late Robert Sweeney) and Harold (Shirley) Ball. She was the cherished grandmother of Steven (Kathy), Susan (Nelson), Cathy (Dan), Wayne (Paula), the late James, Judy (Claude), Alan (Elaine) and Carolyn (Keith). She will be sadly missed by 15 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by sisters Bertha, Myrtle, Annie, and Jennie; and brothers Harry and Lawrence.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1905 in Wolford Township to the late John Henry Cross and the late Stella Cross (nee Bissell).
The visitation was held at the Winchester Funeral Home on March 17. The funeral service took place in the chapel of the Winchester Funeral Home on March 17 with Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Burial followed at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
The pallbearers were Alan Jackson, Dan Kelly, Steven Ball, and Claude Meloche.
