Dr. Stirling (Bud) Dawley
Dr. Bud Dawley of Kennedy Road,
Simcoe, passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital on July 8,
2005. He was 82.
He was the much beloved husband of Marion (nee Westcott). He was
the son of the late Melvin and Sadie Dawley. He was the loving
father of Tom Dawley and his wife Jan of Calgary and the late
Lynne Livingstone (2004). He is survived by his son-in-law Randy
Livingstone of Brantford; grandchildren Bryan and Michelle Dawley
and Brandi Livingstone; his sister Lula Hanes and brothers Dwight
Dawley and his wife Myrtle, all of Winchester, and Raymond Dawley
and his wife Dorothy of Ottawa. He is also survived by sisters-in-law
Ruby Dawley of Winchester, Barbara Lang and her husband John,
Drs. Margaret Fisher and her husband Garry, all of Simcoe and
Evelyn Iacovino and her husband Dr. Mike of Florida; and by numerous
nieces and nephews. Mr. Dawley was also predeceased by a sister
Wilma Dawley and a brother Basil Dawley.
Bud served overseas during WWII with the Royal Canadian Air Force.
He graduated from Veterinary School in Guelph in 1949 and retired
to Simcoe in 1986.
Friends were invited to meet with the family on July 11, 2005
at the Ferris Funeral Home, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe where the
funeral was held on July 12 with Rev. Bryan Robertson officiating.
Cremation with interment at Oakwood Cemetery followed the service.
