Barbara Dickson-Major
Barbara Dickson-Major (nee Dawley) passed away peacefully in Pembroke, on Sept. 28, 2005. She was 63.
Barbara was the dearly loved wife of Allan Major, and by first marriage the late Donald Dickson. She was the beloved daughter of J. Dwight and Myrtle Dawley (Simmons). She was the dear mother of Kyle Dickson (Tammy) and Todd Dickson (Melody) of Beachburg, and Tim Dickson (Cindy) of Abbottsford, B.C. She was nana to Sophie and Justin, and Alyshia and Nicholas. Barbara was the treasured sister of Linda Burman (Peter) of Montreal, and Diane Sauvé (John) of Blairstown, New Jersey. Auntie Barb will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Heather Kinkaid (Simmons) and Rev. Paul McLenaghan in Greenwood United Church on Oct. 1, 2005.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Marianhill Palliative Care would be appreciated.
Myrtle and Dwight would like to sincerely thank their wonderful friends and family for visits, calls, flowers, and for their words of comfort and support during this time of sorrow.
Barb's fun loving spirit, sense of adventure and zest for life were an inspiration for us all.
