Ruth Alice Howes
Ruth Alice Howes passed away peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on May 17, 2005. She was 104.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerald Howes. She was the cherished mother of Joyce (Lee Barns) of Toronto and Jean (the late Jack Kroch) of Ottawa. She was the loving Grandma of Heather (Mike Francis) of Sault Ste. Marie and Sherrie (Terry Carty) of Toronto. She was the dear sister-in-law of Hilda Holmes. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son Ronald and by four sisters and six brothers.
Friends were received at the Winchester Funeral Home on Church Street on May 19. The funeral service was held in the chapel of the funeral home on May 20 with Rev. Angus MacDonald officiating. Interment followed at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
