Helena Jennings
Helena Jennings of RR4 Winchester passed, away on March 10, 2005 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. She was 82.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Jennings whom she married on Aug. 3, 1940 in Winchester. She is survived by children Carol (Wayne) Ferguson of Chesterville, Donna Wade of RR4 Winchester, Sandra Mayhew of Elma, Mac (Audrey) of Cornwall, and Cheryl Jennings (Jim Springthorpe) of Berwick. She was predeceased by brother Laird Ouderkirk and by sisters Bertha Pearson and Margaret Nichol. She will be fondly remembered by 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was born in Chesterville on Aug. 11, 1922 to the late Robert Ouderkirk and Helen Ouderkirk (nee MacFarlane). She was a lifetime resident of the area. She was a homemaker and farmer's wife. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards, watching movies, and playing Bingo.
The funeral service was held on March 15 at Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg with Rev. Doug Carnegie officiating. Spring interment of cremated remains will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
