Ian Alexander MacGregor
With faith and love, Joyce (nee Burton) Class of 62 OCH School
of Nsg (Civic L&D nurse), friend, partner, true love for 45
years, had to let me take my final trip alone.
Ian, as he lived quietly and strongly - fighting and conquering
adversities - with the help of every doctor and nurse he met (we
have so many to thank) earning their admiration of his strength
and healing powers, left our world on Thursday evening, December
22, 2005.
Born on the farm at Russell 70 years before, he was the fourth
generation to clear and farm the land. He leaves to share his
qualities and pride, his daughter Catherine (Rob Reynolds) and
his grandson Sean Reynolds; his son Cameron (Nancy Goupil) and
grandchildren Tristan and Kayla MacGregor. His children and grandchildren
were his legacy and shining stars.
Visitation and candlelight service was held on Dec. 27 at the
Russell United Church.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society
(Plasmacytoma, Myeloma and Leukemia Research) or the University
of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation
Arrangements handled under the C.R. Gamble Funeral Home and Chapel.
