Donald Angus McGillivary
Donald Angus McGillivary passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Jan. 24, 2005. He was 83.
He was predeceased by wife Elsie (nee Reid). He was the cherished father of Violet (Stephen) Reid-Garsky of Calgary, and Bonnie and Janet McGillivary, both of Winchester. He will be sadly missed by grandchildren Jason and Shawn Garsky of Calgary, and great-grandchildren Ethan, Joseph and Brie. He was predeceased by sisters Myrtle Price, Florence Helmer, Dymple Coughlar, Eva Antoine, and brother Gladstone "Mike." He was born in Apple Hill on March 5, 1921, to the late Donald McGillivary and the late Emily McGillivary (nee Warner).
The visitation was held at the Winchester Funeral Home on Jan. 28 and was followed by a service in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Burial followed at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
