Ian G. Reid
Ian G. Reid passed away peacefully at the Kemptville District Hospital, on Jan. 6, 2005. He was 80.
He was devoted husband of Ellen (nee Derby) for 54 years. He was the cherished stepfather of Burnett (Ethyle) Derby and Barbara (Gordon) Hutchinson. He was the loving "Nampie" to grandchildren Sharon (Kevin) Smail, Sandra (Lyle) Thornton, Andrew (Vicky) Hutchinson, David (Judith) Hutchinson, Ronald (Annette) Derby, Robert (Helen) Derby and Brian (Lisa) Derby. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by parents John and May Reid and will be remembered by brother James (Glenys) Reid, sister Patricia (Mel) White and brother Graham (Karen) Reid.
The visitation was held at the Winchester Funeral Home on Jan. 10. The funeral service was held in the chapel of the Winchester Funeral Home on Jan. 11. Burial will follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
